Or have Evos really held their value? An Evo 8 in 2005 would have cost you $35,000. 10 years later, and some modified examples still go for $25,000. A pristine, low mileage one might be more...
Taking depreciation into account, that's still holding 60% of its original price. That would be like asking about $37,000 for a 2005 Corvette!

As the owner of a stock, adult owned and maintained 2003 VIII this pleases me.
The fact of the matter is there just aren't that many of them around. VIIIs were a homologation car for Group N rally and they only built 5000-6500 a year for world wide sales. I'm not sure of the production numbers for the IX and the X. I'm guessing the numbers for STIs are about the same, but it feels like there are more due to the WRX being around and looking similar. There really isn't a good sub model of the Evo as the RallyArt is noticeably different visually.
